2.0 (2020 Present): The 2.0 features a 2 piece center console with a sliding door.
No cup seems to fit in the Model 3 or Y. That’s where the cupholder insert helps out. Made out of silicone, the cupholder is equipped with grippy nibs to hold down the cup so it doesn’t move when you’re driving. It’s also much easier to clean since you can simply remove, clean, and put it back in for a cleaner center console.

United StatesThe cup holder fits the area perfectly and is sufficiently grippy to hold on to cups, though since my Tesla is brand-new, I have to admit I haven’t broken it in with food and drink allowed in the car yet. I do like the idea that I can remove it easily for better cleaning, since that area will be a dirt magnet as time goes by. Furthermore, if, or when :(, something spills, it will be infinitely easier to mop up. While certainly not an essential, it definitely does improve quality of life and definitely worth the price.

United StatesGood material, grips water bottles perfectly, which is why I wanted it. My only issue (and it’s a minor one) is that it does not seamlessly fit into the console, at the top lip of the insert.
