Tesla's OEM skid plates for the Model Y are made out of plastic which can be susceptible to damage when hit by steep driveways or road debris. There's one in the front and one in the back covering the drive units. These aluminum skid plates have sound dampening material on the inside to decrease road noise, while fully protecting your drive train. Simply remove your old skid plate and use the same screws to install the new aluminum sets!

Well overall the products was good, it just the ups wasn't care about my packages. I have to get a replacement, my first package was arrived and it got a lots more damaged so they send me another one and this times it got even more damaged. Overall I mean I have to bent it back but my experience with ups is zero stars.
Great fits great
Straightforward installation process. Great fit, form, and function.
Items arrived timely and corners were protected. However I did find 3 bent corners on the skid plates but they were easy to re-bend flat. Compared to previous reviews, the holes did align with the bolt hole locations for the most part. Before installation, I did note that parts of the sound/vibration deadening material to be not completely adhered to the skid plate and pressed these raised edges of that material down onto the skid plates. Hopefully the temperature/expansion/contraction will not lift these places. My installation was with car ramps to access the underside of my Tesla. All in all, a relatively easy installation.
The holes didn’t line up perfectly, The sound damping foam was way off center, easily bends out of shape, and was damaged in shipping. Fairly expensive for something with these issues….
(This is my honest review for products which I paid full price; I have no affiliation or sponsorship.) Had the full set installed a while back on my 2020 Model Y in preparation before lowering the suspension. My order was shipped and delivered within 4 days. Installation was a breeze; I did have access to a lift but this easy bolt on job can also be accomplished with a pair of jack stands in your garage/driveway. Took less than an hour (and that was with me being distracted looking at the cool dual motors/drivetrain parts underneath). The aluminum material is solid and fit like factory parts. Love the black powder coat finish and the included sound insulation on the insides. Have had them on for a few months now with no issues, other than piece of mind, especially since I have a pretty aggressive suspension drop on coil overs. After researching similar products from other companies, here’s how these compare: MPP looks nice but is silver/not powder coated and only available for the front. Evannex just released their version but also only for the front and not powder coated; their rear option is $$$ and for Model 3s only. RPM has the most similar products but they are over $50 more (including their fake and misleading sales/discounts off high retail prices) plus another $100 just for shipping; not to mention good luck receiving your order any time soon. For me, it was an easy decision to buy from an authentic, American family run business, who actually has the products in stock and offers free shipping. No smoke, no mirrors, no misleading sales jargon.
