Ever thought about giving your vehicle a sleek custom look without the hassle of removing any panels or extensive work? Believe it or not, you can achieve a professional-looking vinyl wrap on your car door handles in about 10 minutes, even if you’ve never worked with vinyl before.

What You’ll Need:

  • Pre-cut vinyl door handle wrap
  • Squeegee (included in kit)
  • Alcohol wipes (included in kit)
  • Highly recommended: Heat gun or hairdryer
  • Optional: Isopropyl alcohol and microfiber towel

Step 1: Thoroughly Clean the Handle

The key to a successful wrap starts with cleanliness. Use the alcohol wipes provided to meticulously clean the handle and surrounding areas. Dirt or oils left behind can cause your wrap to peel prematurely. For extra precision, wrap your squeegee in a microfiber towel and use a bit of alcohol solution to reach tight spots.

Step 2: Align Your Vinyl

Before peeling the backing off your vinyl, align it carefully with the handle. Pay attention to curves and edges, matching them with the vinyl shape.

Step 3: Apply Your Vinyl

Once aligned, peel off a section of the backing paper and start pressing down gently. Vinyl is forgiving—if it doesn’t align right initially, just peel it off and reposition.

Step 4: Squeegee Down Smoothly

Use the squeegee’s felt side to press the vinyl onto the handle gently but firmly. Focus first on adhering it to the handle itself, rather than letting it stick to surrounding paint.

Step 5: Wrap Around Edges

Your vinyl has micro-cuts, allowing for smooth wrapping around curves. Open your door handle gently, wrapping the vinyl around edges and corners evenly. Your fingers are excellent tools here, ensuring a precise fit.

Step 6: Finalize with Heat

Use your heat gun or hairdryer briefly to soften the vinyl. Gently press the edges down to seal the wrap permanently. This “post-heating” helps eliminate bubbles and secures a lasting bond.

Step 7: Double Check and Enjoy

Inspect your wrap, ensuring all edges are smooth and secure. With just a bit of patience and care, you’ve just given your vehicle a brand-new look. Do the same thing for all 4 handles!
