Just minutes ago, we received thrilling news—our Model Y Juniper had arrived at our Chattanooga location! While delivery wasn’t quite ready, we couldn’t resist the urge to check out this highly anticipated launch edition. With half the crew in tow (including our trusty TESBROS dog, Amber), we set off to see it in person.

First Impressions: A Stunning Launch Edition

This is the Model Y Juniper Launch Edition. What’s different? It boasts a variety of premium accessories, including a white interior, a tow hitch and Full Self-Driving (FSD) capability. We also got the quicksilver color, a callback to my first Model 3 that was Metallic Silver.

From our knowledge, deliveries just started this week across the U.S., making us one of the first in the country—and certainly the first in Chattanooga, TN—to receive it.

Seeing It for the First Time

As we arrived at the Tesla service center, our anticipation built. We had to confirm the VIN number, and seconds later, we confirmed that this was our Juniper. Seeing it in person was an entirely different experience—it looked even better than expected!

Notable Design Changes and Features

Tesla made some intriguing updates to the Model Y Juniper. Here’s what stood out:

  • Exterior: The front fascia is completely redesigned, making PPF (paint protection film) application much easier. The doors and rear quarter panel remain similar to the previous Model Y, but the new bumper design is more streamlined.
  • Headlights: Similar to the Cybertruck, the headlight is a bar across the front split into three sections.
  • Tail Lights: Inspired by the Model 3 Highland, they now feature a connected light bar that extends across the rear.
  • Interior Upgrades: The Juniper features Alcantara accents, ventilated seats for the front, and a refreshed layout similar to the Model 3 Highland.
  • New Wheels: We opted for the Crossflow wheels for better range.

Thinking Ahead: Customization and Protection

Of course, our immediate thought was, What can we do to customize and protect this beauty? Some key areas we’re focusing on include:

  • Front PPF to protect against rock chips and road debris.
  • Headlight and fotlight protection due to its prominent placement.
  • Tail light customization with potential topography prints or matrix patterns.
  • Wheel cover wraps for added personalization.

Delivery Day: The Excitement Never Gets Old

After spending time analyzing the car, we left and got a text about 20 minutes later—we could officially take delivery! Our delivery time was moved up 2 days! No matter how many Teslas we’ve owned (this is our tenth!), the excitement never fades.

We headed back to Chattanooga Tesla Center, where the process was seamless. Tesla’s digital-first approach made paperwork effortless, with everything handled via the app. In no time, we were handed the key cards and officially took ownership of our Model Y Juniper.

What’s Next?

Now that we have it, we’re planning to do a full unwrapping video (yes, it still has all the factory plastic on it!) and start working on custom product ideas. Our goal is to develop wraps and protection kits tailored to the new Juniper design. Stay tuned for more content, and be sure to subscribe for updates on our latest Tesla adventures.

The Model Y Juniper is here, and we couldn’t be more excited to drive it, protect it, and customize it for the Tesla community! Let’s go!
