Car interior cleaning doesn’t have to be a hassle. It’s quite simple when given the right tools. So, here we’ll walk you through several methods so you can get the best clean.
First of all, take everything out of your car and vacuum it out. This will get the bulk out of the way. Then, I recommend taking all removable surfaces out of your car, such as floor mats, liners, and organizers.
Spray on surfaces and wipe with microfiber
This method is ideal for larger surfaces such as seats, dashboard, doors, and the center console. Make sure you have an interior cleaner that doesn’t have harsh chemicals, such as ammonia or alcohol. Those harsh chemicals on the vegan leather in your Tesla can dry out those surfaces, making them crack and fade overtime. Plus, inhaling those fumes in an enclosed space isn’t healthy for you either. Our interior cleaner is an odorless, eco-friendly cleaner that doesn’t harm your surfaces, you, or your pets. It leaves a clean, residue-free surface behind.
Spray onto your microfiber and wipe
Spraying your microfiber first is great for cleaning electronics and your instrument cluster. This is also great to use for your steering wheel, because it gives you more control over the substance. If you sprayed it directly onto your steering wheel, it would leave a lot of overspray to clean up too.
Using a drill brush
These are great for your mats, because you can be a bit more tough here. Just spray interior cleaner on the mats, and drill away. This will foam up and get deep stains out, whether the mats are carpet or rubber. After that, spray them down with a water hose or pressure washer to get all of the interior cleaner and grime out. Finally, hang them up to dry before putting them back in your car.
Using boar brushes
There are various types of boar brushes out there and all different sizes to choose from. The style in the video is used to easily reach into tight crevices like door switches, cup holders, and seat creases. Simply, spray interior cleaner, then agitate the area with the boar brush, and wipe away with a microfiber. You can use this on ALL surfaces – even the Alcantara – as it will gently lift oils and stains out.
There’s no better feeling than getting into your clean Tesla! I hope this helped guide you in the right direction on what you need to do to give you that new car feeling all over again.
