If you’re looking for an EV that is perfect for a small family or has enough storage to load up your friends for a weekend getaway, there are two great options on the market. The Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium and the Tesla Model Y Long Range are often compared because of their similarities, so here we break it down for you.
The Price
The Mach-E Premium has a starting price of $47,600 and the Model Y starts at $53,900. Each car has extra customization fees as you begin to design it to fit your personality. The customization fees are discussed below.
The Specs & Features
If you’re looking for a car with distance, the Model Y wins with 326 miles with long range. Long range comes with the basic package of the Model Y. The Mach-E has an estimated 305 mile range but when buying the vehicle, you have to upgrade to the extended range battery, RWD. The basic option with the Model Y gets you farther on one charge than the Mach-E Premium basic package.
The fastest speed the Mach-E can go is 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. But, that comes with the extended range battery, AWD. The long range Model Y is the same speed. If you’re looking for something faster, purchase the performance version of the Model Y for 0-60 in 3.5 seconds.
