We’ve been designing and producing DIY wrap kits in house for over 3 years now for Tesla owners to be able to customize and protect their cars easily and affordably. And it’s been awesome! We love all our customers, and each of you contribute to our success whether you know it or not.

After much planning, we came out with our biggest launch ever: the Model 3 DIY PPF Front Kit! Here we wanted to address some concerns and common questions about it. We know there’s a lot of money and time involved in this kit, so we want to make sure you know what you’re getting.

What comes with your purchase?

The pre-cut rolls of PPF for the fenders, bumper, hood, headlights, fog lights, and mirrors will be in the kit, along with squeegees, cleaning solutions, spray bottles, etc. Check out the full list here

The best part? We have a free step-by-step course where we teach you how to install each piece in the kit. It’s made for beginners in mind, so you don’t have to know anything about PPF before starting. The course begins with the prep work and ends with post install tips so you’ve got all the knowledge you need for a successful install.

What’s the difference between your kit and a professional install?

  • Cost: Our kit is at least half the cost of a professional install. The cost comes from the price of materials, labor it takes to create the kit and put it together, and the value the course brings.
  • Materials: The kit includes the same high-quality materials that professionals use and tools we use in our wrap shop.
  • Pre-Cut kit: There are more pieces in our PPF install, so there will be some seams where the PPF meets. Installing these smaller pieces makes it much easier to install by taking out a lot of stretch points and wrinkles.

Check out this video where we install PPF on the Model 3 fender by using a professional bulk install method AND our DIY kit method to show you the difference.

What if I’m not sure that I can install it myself?

We designed the kit and the course where it’s completely beginner-friendly. We teach you everything you need to know even if you’ve never touched PPF before.

We also have a practice kit section, so if you get through that and think that it’s not for you, you can return the rest of your unopened kit for a full refund. We want to take the pressure off of you as much as possible so you can make sure this is for you.

You can watch the entire course for free before you even purchase the kit.

Another way to get comfortable with PPF is to try installing other PPF products before purchasing the big one. We have lots of options for wherever you’re currently at in your skills and confidence.

Will you have a PPF front kit for the Model Y, S or X? What about a full body kit for any Models?

Eventually! We are working on the Model Y front kit right now and that’s expected to be out this Fall 2022. Sign up for early access notifications for the Model Y front kit here.

How long does it take to install?

8-12 hours if installing alone.

Do I have to disassemble parts of the car or cut on the car?

No, it’s made to fit perfect without having to do either of those things.

What if I mess up?

Reach out to [email protected] for discounted replacement pieces and help. We also have a Facebook group where you can share advice and ask questions with other customers installing the kit. Don’t worry, we’re there answering questions too!

Can I put ceramic coating on it or under it? What about vinyl wraps?

You can put ceramic coating on top of PPF but NOT under it as it won’t adhere. You can put vinyl wraps over AND under PPF, but under is recommended as it will help your vinyl wrap last longer. Learn more about the differences between vinyl wraps, ceramic coating and PPF here
