If a thief wants to get in, they can pry it out can't they?
Yes, that is true but DropLock acts as a deterrent. It may be just enough of a deterrent to discourage thieves from stealing valuables from your trunk.
Does this work for the Y?
No. Since they Y has an open trunk, it's not as needed.

First time ordering from TESBROS, since I usually do all my shopping on Amazon, due to their free shipping and free return when needed.
I wasn't disappointed though. Fast shipping and those locks fits right away on my Tesla Model 3. The kit also comes with removal "tool" and a color instruction booklet, along with two warning "seats locked" stickers.
Will definitely buy again if I need some other Tesla accessories.

The droplock seat lock seems to work as intended. Wish there was a different color such as black to match the latch.
Overall though, it’s a deterrent for would be window breakers. Thanks!

Love this item! They fit perfectly into the seat latch and prevent thieves from unlatching your rear seats through a broken window.

I got the drop lock for my Tesla Model 3 to help support the Ukrainian charity but now that it's installed I can see its usefulness. I live in a safe place but when out hiking we sometimes have to park the car at lonely areas. Having the drop lock gives me some confidence about leaving things safely in the trunk.
